Battle-Saddle Concept Art 1

So I wanted to do some concept art for battle saddles based on the Fallout: Equestria universe, I always thought they were a clever concept and wanted to do some art that gave some more detail on how they worked. This is the first piece on a series i'm planning on doing conceptualizing the different types of battle saddles used in FoE so more to come! I don't know much about guns or horse reins so I would like to take an artistic licence on if either seem to don't make sense or wouldn't realistically function, hopefully I can get more detail and accuracy into it as I progress.
